Meet Maina Mwuara

Maina Mwaura hails from Orlando, Florida, and is a graduate of Liberty University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications. He also received his Masters of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Maina has served on staff at several churches of various sizes and cultural diversity.


Currently, he is the Missions Pastor at West Ridge Church in Dallas, GA. Maina teaches sound biblical truth, with a strong emphasis on evangelism and discipleship. He is gifted at employing humor and personal stories that link to a strong, biblical message. His ministry has afforded him the great privilege to speak to both adults and students, challenging all to enter an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.Maina was honored with the opportunity to write for Lifeway’s, Student Ministry Resources. Maina was also requested as a break-out leader for the National Youth Workers Conference for the last two years. Recently, Maina helped spearhead the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board initiative on mobilizing African-American Students on missions. Further, he made history with the International Mission Board by directing the first majority, African-American student group on mission to South Africa.

Maina has a great sense of humor, which allows him to establish rapport with people easily. Teaching and speaking to a very diverse population, he has had the advantage to work across cultural and racial lines. Maina assisted several churches through consulting, sharing his God-given knowledge of how to advance to the next level in their ministry. Maina recently finished his first book, which will be released in the spring of 2015.Maina loves the Lord and enjoys sharing the gospel with all types of groups. Maina currently lives in Kennesaw, GA, with his wife, Tiffiney, and daughter, Zyan Alexandra. This couple has dedicated their life to sharing with others and allowing God to use them where He sees fit.
